Returns & Refund Policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
KT Aboriginal Fine Art is committed to quality and cultural respect for every authentic Aboriginal artwork. Our goal is to ensure satisfaction while maintaining the integrity and cultural significance of each piece.
Quality Commitment
All artworks are carefully packed and personally inspected by Kelly Taylor before dispatch. Due to the custom and culturally significant nature of our pieces, please review our return terms carefully.
Return Rates
- Art Prints & Originals: Less than 1% return rate due to quality control and cultural authenticity.
- Wearables & Homeware: 2-3% return rate, primarily for size exchanges.
- Custom Artworks: 0% return rate. All commissioned works are final sale with photo approval before shipping.
Artwork Returns Policy
Made-to-Order & Custom Pieces
- Change of Mind: Returns for change of mind are not accepted, as all artworks are made to order or one-of-a-kind cultural pieces.
- Custom Work: Commissioned artworks are final sale, with photo approval provided prior to dispatch.
- Cultural Significance: Each piece carries deep cultural meaning and is treated with respect throughout the process.
Damage or Defects
- Timeframe: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Documentation: Provide clear photos of damage and original packaging.
- Approval Required: All returns must be pre-approved by our team.
- Resolution: We will arrange replacement, refund, or restoration where possible.
Change of Mind Returns
While rare due to our made-to-order process, store credit may be offered for prints or merchandise returned in original condition within 14 days of delivery. Unused wearables must have tags attached. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges
- Wearables: Wrong size exchanges are accepted if unused and returned within 14 days.
- Domestic Orders: Return shipping assistance is provided where applicable.
- Alternative Artworks: Store credit may be offered for selection of a different piece.
Shipping & Transit Damage
Once artwork is collected by the courier, KT Aboriginal Fine Art is not liable for damage or loss during transit. Optional insurance is available for peace of mind. If purchased, insurance claims will be supported by our team and may result in replacement or refund.
- Damage Reporting: Report damage within 7 days with photos and retain all packaging materials.
- Resolution Options: Replacement, refund, or store credit depending on circumstances.
International Framed Artwork Policy
Framed canvas artworks are generally not shipped internationally due to high risk of damage. In special cases, buyers must purchase comprehensive insurance and acknowledge the risk. We recommend shipping unframed artworks for professional local framing.
Refund Process
- Eligibility: Approved returns for damaged or incorrect items, insurance claims, or errors in order fulfillment.
- Processing: Refunds issued after inspection of returned items.
- Payment Method: Refunds returned to original payment method.
- Timeframe: 5-10 business days after inspection.
- Partial Refunds: May apply for minor damage where restoration is possible.
Unique & One-of-a-Kind Pieces
- Restoration First: Professional restoration may be offered rather than return.
- Partial Refunds: Available if restoration is not possible.
- Cultural Respect: Each piece is handled according to cultural protocols.
- Case-by-Case: Individual assessment for the best resolution.
Cultural Respect in Returns
All artworks carry deep cultural significance and family stories. Returned artworks are treated with the same respect and care applied during creation. Each piece is assessed and blessed with positive energy before resolution.
